How to find us

The Norwich Research Park is situated 5 km to the west of the city of Norwich.

By car

The Norwich Research Park is close to the A47 and B1108 Norwich-Watton Road, and to the A11 from London.
From the A11
Stay on A11 until you reach the Thickthorn Services (A47) roundabout. At the roundabout take the 2nd exit A47 (signposted Swaffham), then follow the instructions for the A47 route, below.
From the A47
Traffic coming from the East/A11:- At the junction with the B1108 exit up the slope and at the roundabout take the 3rd exit signposted B1108 (Norwich). At the next roundabout take the 1st exit, signposted Norwich, University.

Traffic coming from the West/Kings Lynn:- At the junction with the B1108 exit up the slope and at the roundabout take the 1st exit signposted B1108 (Norwich).

Once on B1108: 2 km further on at the traffic lights, Norwich Research Park is signposted. Turn right – two lanes are available. For NBIP, JIC, TGAC and TSL use right hand lane, stay right and turn right at the traffic lights at the top of the hill. For QIB use the left lane and follow the road down towards the hospital at the roundabout turn right and follow the hospital road a right turn feeds into into Rosalind Franklin Road whereby turning right will approach QIB, NR4 7UQ.

By bus, train and plane

Numbers 21/22 buses run from the main road outside the Institutes (Colney Lane) to the city centre. You should disembark at Theatre Street for the Bus/Coach Station on Surrey Street. Other buses run from the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital (Stand A, Numbers 22, 24, 12, 123, 21, 3, 124) into the city centre and to the bus and rail stations via various routes.

Norwich Railway Station is located in central Norwich, a 10 minute walk from the city centre.  The station operates trains to London and across the UK. For more information follow the link to National Rail Enquiries There are frequent link-flights from Norwich airport to Amsterdam and, from there, flights to many international airports. Both the airport and the bus and train stations are a 20 minute taxi ride from the Institutes. There is free car parking on the NBI campus at both IFR and JIC sites, but you must register your car and display a sticker before parking.
